Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Highlight has really flourished in foster. He never played at the shelter, but now plays and gets the zoomies like a kitten. He loves to be around people and be in the same room as you he follows foster around purring and meowing .He tolerates the resident cat but you need to pet him if you’re petting your cat because Highlight gets a little jealous. He loves to jump up on counters while foster is making his food and hide under beds reaching for your feet like you’re a whack-a-mole he does sometimes get frustrated and tries to bite you, but since he has no teeth it’s more like a gummy, which foster actually finds endearing.
As the foster writes this, he’s sitting in the chair purring away
Highlight is FIV+. Cats with FIV live a long life and can live be with other cats. It just means he has a weaker immune system. Lysine is a good supplement to help strengthen it.

Puppy Kitty NYC was founded in the Fall of 2014. As of July 2018, we are an official 501(c)(3) organization. We focus on three aspects: First, finding homes for abandoned or friendly street cats and kittens. Secondly, attempting to control animal overpopulation by spaying and neutering feral cats and helping the sick and injured. Thirdly, fostering is a must.
