This handsome boy is Artemis and at just about one year old he's been spending a lot of time with a foster family. They recently took him on an adventure and reported back on how well he did: "Arty enjoyed his week (last week) in the suburbs! We spent lots of time in the park, on trails, playing with several other dogs, and enjoying lots of fetch, chase, and monkey in the middle in the backyard. He met new people almost every day and visited a couple of friends/family's houses; and did SO well overall! He even enjoyed his first snowfall and enjoyed eating small snowballs." Arty is working on some behavioral issues like being a little mouthy or pulling on his leash, but he's working so hard and is doing a great job. When he has consistently and someone to help him along the way, he grows by leaps and bounds. He has lots of energy so he'd do best in an active home. He's such a good boy who will make a loyal and loving companion.Artemis spends time in the adoption center and in foster care so please note his location.
If this animal is located at our Manhattan Adoption Center, head in to meet them and see if you are a match! We are a same-day adoption center, and an application does not put you on a list or hold an animal for you. If they are in Wantagh or in a foster home, please submit an online application and our team will reach out to further discuss the adoption process. Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given their age-appropriate vaccines.
