Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing RUBY
We are thrilled to welcome Ruby to the TMM family! Ruby is a 3 year old Maltipoo (or so we were told). She is a TINY little girl weighing only 9 lbs! But don’t let her size fool you - this girl is full of spunk, personality and isn’t afraid to tell you all about it! She is an absolute sweetheart who wants all the attention and physical touch is definitely her love language. She also loves going on walks and acts like she is on a mission with places to go and people to see!
Ruby’s story is a sad one where her owner was hospitalized and unfortunately no other family members were able to take her. We’re not sure how long Ruby was left alone for, however upon her intake she was definitely underweight and her nails had grown to nearly full circles back to the paw pad. But we do know Ruby was loved on and cared for prior because we’ve seen photos and she arrived with quite the wardrobe!
Ruby’s past experiences have given her some separation anxiety (and understandably so). Therefore Ruby will require someone who either works from home or can provide her with puppy daycare when they are working. She has crate anxiety when left alone but can sleep perfectly in a crate overnight as long as she can see you. Ruby is potty trained but needs to maintain her current schedule of being taken out every four hours (excluding overnight).
Please keep in mind that Ruby's breed mix does require regular grooming - both at home brushing AND regular hair trims. This should be taken into consideration when calculating monthly costs for her upkeep.
Due to Ruby’s vocality when she is left alone - we will not place her in an apartment or condo as she would surely earn herself noise complaints. She is dog friendly, cat inquisitive, up to date on vaccinations and will receive a spay, dental cleaning and microchip this upcoming Wednesday (3.20.24).

The Maddux Movement (TMM) is a non-profit foster based Dalmatian rescue located in Atlanta, GA. Although our rescue is breed focused, we are not a breed restrictive rescue. Our mission is to rescue and rehome animals that are in abusive, neglectful or endangering situations, which includes traditional or open admission shelters, strays, owner surrenders and puppy mills. Adoptions are not based on a first come first serve basis. The individual(s) selected will be chosen based on the needs of each individual dog.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (including leptospirosis and canine influenza).
Additionally, each adopted dog will be sent home with a new Fi Series 2 GPS Tracker Smart Dog Collar (with a 1 year subscription), a copy of The Forever Dog by Rodney Habib and Dr. Karen Becker and a complimentary dog blanket.
