My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Mendon, MI
DOB: 03/03/2021 (Estimate)

Meet Eden, a charming female XL Bully mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! This beautiful girl is spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccines and preventatives, and is both house and crate trained. Eden is a true homebody who thrives in a cozy environment, especially if her human works from home. She adores lounging on the couch and snuggling up for some quality cuddle time.

Eden is fantastic with kids and gets along well with big dogs, but she needs a cat-free home. Small dogs are a no-go for Eden, as she tends to see them as squeaky toys—though her behavior isn’t predatory, just playful.

Eden loves to cuddle and quickly forms strong bonds with her special person. She enjoys squeaky toys, bones to chew on, and is working on her counter-surfing habits. Eden knows how to sit and takes treats gently, but she does need a slow feeder to help with her meals.

At her core, Eden is a “house hippo,” favoring cozy cuddles over outdoor adventures. She thrives in the company of other big dogs, where her playful spirit can truly shine. Although she might be a bit reserved when meeting new furry friends, her heart is filled with nothing but love. People are her joy, regardless of their size or shape.

Eden dreams of a home bustling with kids to play with or a companion who works from home, where she can be the ultimate furry sidekick. She’s all about spreading her ‘fur glitter’—that unique sparkle that only a dog like her can bring to a family.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
