Sydney, a chocolate Shih Tzu, was released to rescue because her breeder is retiring. All the dogs at her facility are slowly being released to rescue. Once they are in a foster home, we are giving them a chance to decompress & adjust to their surroundings. We get to know them as best we can in a short window of time, get them vetted, try to identify any health concerns, and get them ready for adoption into their forever families!
Sydney's foster mom has this to say about her:
"Sydney is the sweetest & loves everyone. She loves attention, loves to play, and prefers humans to be with her. She gets along with her fur brothers & sisters. She would benefit from having a canine sibling who would be a companion & would be willing to share their toys.
She absolutely loves to run the fenced back yard! She goes outside & inside easily. She does not tell you when she needs to go outside, so her family needs to be prepared to instigate going outside. She will use a potty pad."
So, as mentioned Sydney is loving her new freedom of running all around her very own secure yard, she is not leash trained & will not do her potty duties on leash. For these reasons, we will insist that her adopting family have a secure physically fenced yard for her to run around in, as well as continue her potty training.
Sydney is a happy, easy-going little gal that would love to have a home where her humans would hang out with her & include her in their leisure activities. We hope to find her a human friend that is interested in spending the day with Sydney watching & observing the world. She is a dog that is finally getting her chance to lounge around & be a dog!
