Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Joan, an 8.5 lb, 11 yr, Maltese/Poodle mix, was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter. She was extremely neglected in the past and her medical journey to wellness has been lengthy but she is ready to go home! She needs someone to recognize this tiny treasure and scoop her up into their loving home. Joan has an excellent appetite, loves short walks, exploring new places to smell, and napping. She’s a sweet, adorable girl who rides well in the car, turns heads and attracts attention wherever she goes, gives kisses to her people, and whose ears flap like little wings when she walks (SO CUTE). Joan has fostered with multiple dogs, cats, and young, dog saavy, gentle children. To fully enjoy her golden years, she would do best in a well-lit home, with some cuddly beds, a safe outdoor area for potty trips, maybe another friendly dog or cat but would also be fine as the only pet. Joan’s early onset renal disease and asymptomatic mild heart condition do not slow her down, she is a chipper happy gal who loves life. Joan requires regular grooming. Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area.
