Ken Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!
Meet Ken, a resilient 2-year-old Husky who’s ready for a fresh start with a loving, experienced family. Ken’s early life was far from ideal—after escaping multiple times, his former family resorted to chaining him outside behind a business, afraid of what might happen next. Thankfully, rescue stepped in, giving Ken the second chance he deserves.

Despite his rough beginning, Ken has a heart full of love for people and other dogs. Like many Huskies, he’s mouthy, talkative, intelligent, and stubborn—but he’s also eager to learn, especially when food is involved! Ken thrives on mental and physical stimulation and would do best with an active, Husky-experienced family that’s ready to continue his training and take him on exciting adventures.

Ken needs stability, patience, and plenty of enrichment to show him what a wonderful life with a forever family can be. Are you ready to meet the challenge and welcome this spirited boy into your home? If so, Ken is waiting for you!

Submit Application

Submitting an adoption application is free and is the best way to show that you are interested in a specific pet!

Interview

An adoption coordinator will contact you by email within 48 hrs to set up an interview and go over your application

3.
Home Check

Virtual Home Check

4.
Approve Application

Once your application is approved, you will receive a pre-approval letter which is valid for 6 months as you search for the perfect pet!

5.
Meet the Pet

We provide meet and greets for pre-approved applicants and their families.

Sign Adoption Contract

Additional adoption info

An application with vet/landlord reference check and virtual home visit is required.

The adoption donation amount of $550 is fully refundable if the dog you choose is not the right fit for your family within the first seven (7) days. Every dog is fully vetted, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped with lifetime registration.
