Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ERIS – Mexi-Mix / 4 Years / 18kg / F-Spayed
Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl named Eris, that lived with a very poor family on the outskirts of town. When her humans heard about a spay clinic in the city, they packed Eris up to attend. At the end of the day though, her humans were nowhere to be found. Perhaps they dreamed of someone being able to offer her a chance at an amazing life. It’s me, hey, we’re the someone, it’s me!
Now that she is in rescue, she is thriving. She is no longer tethered to a short chain, but instead can romp about the yard (and we have videos on youtube channel to prove it). She will frequently just run up to her foster humans, putting herself into a hug with them: it’s like she is showing her appreciation for this new life. She is fantastic with the resident dog and she did pass her cat test in Mexico. She has yet to play a lot, but is starting to chase balls and check out the toys in the home (yes, at the age of 4 she is learning to play).
Her future home should have a secure yard, people home most of the time (work from home types), and be keen on walks and adventures. She does jump up in greetings, so we think young kids may not be a match for her. (We are working on it, but girl loves to show love). She would love to have an existing dog in the home to play with and/or regular playdates with other neighbourhood dogs.
So far, Eris has loved everyone she meets and the feelings have been mutual. If you think Eris is the perfect dog for you, www.dibsrescue.com for the application. If you are a family with (older) kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply. Her adoption fee is $750.
