Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Layla is about 5 1/2 months old, 20 lbs. When Layla first came to us she was terrified of everything, especially people. We've worked with her extensively and she has completely turned around. Layla is still a bit cautious of new people and she will most likely never be a social butterfly. However, she is the most wonderful little girl with the people she knows and trusts. She will need someone that understands that she will need time with people. She will be best suited in a home where she can get familiar with a few people and where she's not expected to be friends with every person she meets.
Layla absolutely loves other dogs, and we would love for her to go to a home with a friendly, playful, and confident dog. She does well with all size dogs. She enjoys nothing more than going for hikes or walks and will thrive in an active home. Layla is not a couch potato and she must have a home that values time outdoors. Hiking with our pack has really brought her out of her shell and she does incredible. She doesn't mind the rain and will be the best smaller adventure dog. Layla walks well on leash, is potty trained, and crate trained and knows general obedience. She's smart as a whip and a blast to train. If she's in an active home she could live in an apartment that has a yard. A yard will help her feel more comfortable initially and also give her a place to safely play. She loves the ball and other toys and is just pure joy once you get to know her. We think she could live with children 12 and up who can respect her space.
We guessed on her breed but can already tell Layla will not get bigger than about 30 lbs.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. They all receive training to make the transition as successful as possible. If you're interested in a meet, you must fill out an application on our website www.wallflowersshine.com/application. We always post updates on our dogs on our IG page, the_wallflowers_shine_project, under “stories” and “highlights”. Thank you for your interest in one of our dogs.
