Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🌻Meet Papaya, a “Sato dog” from Puerto Rico! A “Sato dog” refers to the small to medium-sized stray dogs in Puerto Rico. Island dogs are smart, loving, highly trainable, and make devoted companions. There is no love like the love of an island dog.
📍Arriving in Maryland: 3/19/24📍
Papaya and her two siblings were found as strays- roaming a neighborhood in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. Papaya is smart, personable, and is eager to please. She is very laid back/reserved, extremely affectionate, and has a cute, stubby tail. She has adjusted well in her foster home on the island and has been doing great with crate training. She has been around dogs of different ages/sizes, kids, and a kitty friend- and does great with all of them. Once she arrives in the states she will share her new foster home with two dog friends, and will continue to work on socialization, crate, potty, and basic leash training. There is no doubt that she will make a great companion. Stay tuned for more details.😊
