Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Note: Nini is available for adoption in Toronto. Her flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for April 11.
Background: Nini was one of the dogs rescued from the Hwasung puppy mill last summer in Korea, where about 1,500 dogs were saved from illegal breeding operations. She spent years being used for breeding purposes.
Living Environment: Nini currently resides with other dogs at our partner shelter.
Personality: Despite being 10 years old, Nini is playful and energetic. She has a gentle and friendly manner and enjoys interacting with other friendly dogs and people at the boarding house. Nini is brave, not shy, and is sweet, mellow, and obedient with people.
Behavior: Nini has limited experience walking on a leash but shows a brave and curious personality that may lead her to enjoy outdoor walks. While she may stand up for herself if bothered by younger dogs, she does not display strong guarding behaviors towards other dogs.
Socialization: Due to her size, Nini is kept with small dogs for safety reasons. She gets along well with other dogs as long as they are not aggressive or domineering. Nini has no experience with cats. Her favorite thing is spending time with people, sitting on laps, and snuggling.
Health: Upon rescue, Nini was in poor condition due to years of breeding; she had mammary tumors which were successfully treated through surgery. She has also been diagnosed with heart disease (B1). In Korea, Nini takes heart medication, although it is not typically necessary for a dog at the B1 stage. Despite B1 stage dogs not usually requiring heart medication, the Korean vet advised it for Nini. Nini's adopter will consult their vet regarding this matter.
Ideal Home: The ideal adopter for Nini would be someone who works from home, is retired, and does not currently have other pets, although Nini would be open to having another small, friendly dog in the household. This individual should have experience caring for dogs, particularly seniors and small breeds, and be capable of providing excellent medical care for Nini's heart condition. Financial stability is essential to ensure Nini receives all the necessary support she needs.
This sweet dog has endured a lot in Korea. We want to give her the opportunity to experience life with a loving forever family instead of in a crowded shelter.
