My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Meatloaf, but you can call me Loaf or Loafer for short—I'm the purrfectly lazy black cat who's all about living the chill life! Sure, I might not be the youngin' I once was, but hey, age only adds to my charm, right? When it comes to pets, I'm all ears—or should I say, all whiskers! But don't get too carried away, human. I'll let you know when the petting session should come to an end. And if you're feeling extra generous, a kiss on my forehead is always welcome. After all, who can resist smooching this handsome face? Now, let's talk about my tolerance level for other cats. Tolerate might be putting it mildly—I'm more like the Zen master of feline diplomacy. I'll let them do their thing while I lounge like the boss I am. And speaking of lounging, you'll often find me snoozing on the bed or couch, soaking up all the comfort I can get. I'm all about that cozy life, especially when it comes to mealtime. Food and snacks? Count me in! I might be laid-back, but I've got priorities, you know? So, if you're in need of a laid-back, snack-loving, forehead-kissing companion, look no further than Meatloaf!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
