Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Snow Boots came to C.A.T. with 4 other siblings, all of whom were tuxedos. She's one of the two black and white tuxedo cats and one of the girls in the litter. She's very happy to play and run around chasing toys but also willing to watch her friends and relax on the cat trees in her room. Snow Boots is a friendly lady with kitten energy!

Anyone interested in adopting a cat or kitten is asked to fill out an application. This enables us to assist them in selecting a cat or kitten best suited to their wants and lifestyle. It also helps us avoid placing a cat in a situation where it may become stressed or endangered. The shelter will accept the return of any cat (adopted from C.A.T.) for any reason. We do reserve the right to deny adoption. Adoption fees are $100 for kittens under 6 months old, $75 for kittens and cats over 6 months old, and $35 for senior cats 10+ years old.

More about this shelter
The Cat Association of Topeka (C.A.T.) began its operation in the spring of 1988 and since then, has placed thousands of cats and kittens in loving homes. In July of 2003, the organization moved into its current facility. The new shelter features colorful cage-free rooms with lots of cubby-holes, ramps, ledges, ramps, and steps for cats to play or just escape for a much-needed nap. Secure screened in porches provide views of nature and visits from a neighboring squirrels and birds. Our quarantine room has its own air system, providing a safe environment for recovering or ill cats.
Along with C.A.T.'s adoption program, every opportunity is used to educate the public on the need for sterlization and the importance of vaccinations, good nutrition and proper pet care. As we continue to grow we hope to establish a broad-based volunteer coalition, and increase the number of adoptions to caring homes. We are also working towards a coalition of other animal care organizations in our community, and increasing awareness in the community. We have a great many kind and generous supporters who help us. It's a great place to be a cat lover, or a cat!
