Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Emma, a 4-year-young long hair tabby in need of a new foster or forever home.
Emma’s dad passed away and her mom moved overseas so we took Emma in. She was adopted and went to live in SF but sometimes, as hard as we try, we just don’t find the right home. Emma was very unhappy and not bonding at all in the new situation. We brought her back and she is with our friends at Kitty Charm School in Mill Valley. She is blossoming there and we hope to find her a new forever home with someone who will be patient and kind. She’s just a gentle little soul.
Of note: Emma did bond with her first foster mom — but we discovered there that she is not a fan of children. She would love a quiet home with a single adult or couple.
She is extremely sweet and gentle…but she is also shy. She has been through a lot of loss. :(
We love Emma — and she is so beautiful. She has perfect habits with the litter box. She will play interactively with a ribbon or a feather and she plays with her catnip toys.
Interested in meeting this sweet girl? Please contact Debbie at Jake’s Place for more information 415-548-0824.
All Jake’s Place cats that are available for adoption are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLV and are microchipped.
The Adoption Fee for Emma is $110. This Fee helps pay for Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Vaccines, FIV/Leukemia testing, as well as all other Veterinary costs. Adopters must agree to return the kitty to Jake’s Place if the adoption fails at any time. All Fees will be returned if the adoption fails within 90 days.
Jake’s Place is a 100% volunteer organization. All Fees and Donations go directly to the care of our kitties.

The volunteers at Jake's Place are diverse group of dedicated animal lovers. Some of us have worked in rescue before, some are new to it. Some of us have known each other for years, others more recently involved. Having all come together in the last few years and finding that we had the same passion to help cats, we started thinking about the possibilities of putting our various expertise to work in creating something wonderful. While Jake's Place is a relatively new organization, our work goes back 14 years and our energy and drive is stronger than ever. We are committed to rescuing responsibly, fostering in loving & caring homes and finding the best possible forever homes.
