Here's what the humans have to say about me:
1. Name: Lily
2. Breed: Samoyed Jindo mix
3. Age: around 2
4. Gender: M
5. Weight: 26.4lb
6. Spayed/Neutered: Yes
7. Good with women: very
8. Good with men: small men are fine, but big/tall men are not okay. No biting just barking but once you slowly start petting him, Lily will know that he’s safe.
9. Good with children: Yes with elementary kids, don’t know about toddlers or preschoolers.
10. Good with other dogs: small dogs are okay. But he got bitten by a big dog so Lily is very sensitive near dogs that are bigger than him. When he feels that the dog is not aggressive, he starts to play with the dog. It might take days or weeks depends on the dog.
11. Good with cats?
12. Any type of aggression at any particular situations: when he meets a dog that is bigger than him, he goes near the dog and all the sudden he warns by barking. It can trigger the fight. She’s totally okay with female humans and he’s gonna run away barking when a big man tries to pet him.
13. Any prey drive:
- At home, when he’s alone, 2 out of 10. He plays alone with stuffed animal.
- When he’s playing with another dog at home, 6-7out of 10.
- Indoor places(not home), 3 out of 10. It’s because he can meet female humans who love him and pet him, then he gets excited lol
14. Energy level: In general, 3 out of 10
15. Leash trained: 50% (not scared of it and when you try to control him while you are walking the dog, he’ll listen most of times)
16. Crate trained: on going
17. House trained:
18. Does the dog bark? How much and when? When I leave home. But only 1-3 times and that’s it. Also, when a dog that is bigger than him approaches him too close, he barks 1-2 times, just warning the dog not to come closer.
19. Flight risk: new dogs that are bigger than him. Also, any size dogs that push him too hard when he’s running and playing alone. Running together is totally fine. But he hates barking and pushing dogs.
20. Does the dog like to be touched? Any issues with touching anywhere specific on the dog’s body? You can pet anywhere you want if you are female. He prefers his head, neck, and rips. If you are male, Lily needs time to make sure that you are not hurting him and safe.
21. Destroys and chews anything in the house: none except his toys. If you put your socks on the floor, he might take them and play with them.
22. Possessive towards food or toys or etc. with humans and/or other dogs: didn’t see that yet cause dogs are fed in separate rooms at the foster. When it’s time to eat treats, he’s pretty impatient and can’t wait his turn but never growls at other dogs, just wanna eat all the treats lol he brings other dogs’ toys to his house though he has a lot haha sometimes he plays together with other dog over one toy.
23. Any past or present health issues: bitten by a big dog on his butt, but now all healed and hair starts growing back.
24. Rescue story: We assumed that he was beaten by a big wild dog. After that, he was hiding in the sewer for days when it was freezing cold.. City shelter took him and he was about to be euthanized. Thankfully, he’s rescued and got all the treatment that he needed at a vet.
The wound was very bad so Lily had a high chance to get a surgery to cut off his tail, but the vet took care of it really really well. Now he’s just one fluffy soft adorable doggie🫶🏽💜
