Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Onyx is a 2 year old Rottie pup who is a really sweet but active boy.
Onyx still has a lot of puppy energy, so his parents need to be strong as he is a big boy.
He is very affectionate and loving. When his foster mom is standing next to him outside and tells him to sit, he immediately does so and then he'll offer his paw if she says "shake". Then if she asks "pets?", he puts his head up against her leg and he gets pets. By then he usually melts to the ground and ends up upside down begging for belly rubs.
He is very smart and sensitive. Positive reinforcement in the form of treats and verbal praise is highly effective to teach him replacement behaviors.
A home with a fully fenced yard would be ideal for him, as well as a family who can dedicate time for training, exploring and movement!
Onyx came from a high kill shelter where he was surrendered by his previous owner. He was very scared when we first got him, but with decompression, he has now settled down. He definitely needs a parent that has the time to work with him and be the alpha.
Onyx is currently about 80 lb and fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative.
He lives with 10 foster doggie siblings, and does well with them. He has not lived with kids in our care, so we do not know how he is going to be. We do not allow rotties to go to homes with children.
Sweet Onyx is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. Rottweiler experience is mandatory to adopt our breed specific pups.

Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
