Meet Rainey! We believe Rainey to be a 1 year old black Rottie mix, weighing in at 75lbs. Rainey was found as a stray, wandering around in poor condition. She was thin, with fleas and a skin infection. Thankfully, with some TLC and a loving foster home, Rainey’s beauty is now shining through inside & out! This goofy gal is fully equipped with a glistening, sleek black coat, a winning smile, and a spring in her step. She’s a free spirit who doesn’t believe in doing anything halfway. Rainey throws herself into everything she does, she is big, bold, & boisterous! She’s ready to start her new life and is looking for her forever home!
🌤️Rainey would be fine as a solo dog but could also enjoy a sibling dog. Because she’s heavy-footed and is still learning social boundaries, we believe she’d do best with an understanding, active playmate who is around her size.
🌦️When Rainey plays she plays hard! She LOVES toys- squeaky toys, crinkle toys, chew toys, brain games, you name it! Rottweilers are a working breed who benefit from mental stimulation and Rainey is no exception.
🌤️This spirited lady is still learning how to be polite. She’s great at ‘sit’ when she’s calm, but has a hard time remembering her manners when excited. Rainey would benefit from a strong-willed, athletic owner who can help her continue her training.
🌦️Because of her size & power, we feel Rainey would do best with kids 10+. She also doesn’t do well with cats, as she thinks they’re squirrels to chase.

Once we receive a completed application that is APPROVED, we will do a vet check. If everything goes well, then we will set up meet & greets. Just because you apply for a foster dog, that doesn’t mean you will be called in regards to your application.
Rainey is spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, & Bordetella. She also has been fecal & heartworm tested.
