Hi everybody my name is Winston. I’m a 9 month old, 15 lb. poodle. I’m a very happy boy, always wagging my tail. I come when called (most of the time), as I really do like to be around my humans. I am very good about going outside to do my business. While I love to cuddle on your lap for naps during the day, at night I’m very content going to sleep in my crate and will likely sleep until you get me up in the morning. I’d say I’m a mellow little munchkin who would make a great addition to any family.
I get along very well with other dogs. But I also love to entertain myself with a bone or any other toy you may offer me. I think you’d be surprised that for a puppy I’m pretty easy to care for.
As far as kids, I haven’t really been around them at all, but I’m a small guy and usually very gentle. I really do think I’d do great in a home with kids that I can play and cuddle with. I do, however, like to nibble a little bit on fingers if they are put near my mouth.
I am still young and do still have a few puppy tendencies. I do have puppy energy, but so far I think I’ve stayed out of trouble for the most part, but be careful dropping a sock around me as I love stealing things and running off with them. While outside in the yard, I do like to walk around and explore, so a fenced yard is not mandatory, but would be nice.
I’m also learning about this world we’re in, and at 9 months have not been exposed to a lot, so I do tend to get a little scared when hearing a new noise.
New people...no issue. I run up to anyone and everyone to greet you. Still learning manners when it comes to that. I do tend to jump on you to get your attention. I love venturing out to see things on a walk as well. But there again, while I enjoy seeing the world, I don’t have the best manners on a leash. Again, I’m working on that.
I have been vet checked, neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, am up to date on routine shots including rabies and have been treated with flea & heartworm preventative. So I am ready to go to my forever loving home.
Winston is crate/house trained, neutered, microchipped & up to date on his vaccinations. He will require regular professional grooming to keep him looking handsome & comfortably mat-free. So please keep this in mind when considering adopting him.
Winston’s adoption fee is $550.
