My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED BY KEVIN KOWALKOWSKI*

WEIGHT: ~68lbs.

Meet Sharpie- Sharpie has major ‘leading man' energy going on. He's dark and mysterious. He's got a serious face and a strong stoic figure. Like most leading men, Sharpie has been keeping his cards close, so we don't know a ton about his personality just yet. What we do know is that he is a sweet guy who does well on walks and is polite with volunteers and staff. Once you get him out of his kennel, he is full of excitement and tail wags. Given his size and strength, Sharpie is looking for an adopter that can handle him physically and is up for plenty of outdoors-y activities. Shelter staff feel confident that once placed in a home and given decompression time and a consistent routine, Sharpie's character will continue to develop and grow. So, are you looking for a new leading man in your life? If so, call our adoptions desk or feel free to stop by the shelter during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.

Additional adoption info

In response to COVID-19, and the current social distancing rules, all of our animals are now being housed in foster homes and our adoption procedures have changed. Please read the following ADOPTION STEPS on our website for further details!

**Please Note: Most of our adoptions are beginning with a foster-to-adopt period, and because of this, we are temporarily unable to consider applications from households outside the counties of: Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Monterey.

If you rent, please have a copy of your lease or a letter from your landlord that states you can have a pet(s) ready.

If you’re adopting a dog, introduce your future friend to any other dogs in the family (dog adoptions only).
