Hi there! I'm Wallace, the cutest and sweetest beagle mix ever! Everyone tells me I have the most darling face and floppy ears. I spent most of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs like me? Now that I've been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I am gaining confidence every day. I can be shy at first because of my past, but once I know you won't hurt me, I'll love to run and play together! I also loving getting affection and pets. I am scared of other animals as I was never permitted to interact with them in the laboratory, so I will do best in a home where I can be my adopter's one and only! I hope an adopter notices me soon... I'll be the best companion ever for my forever family! Could you give me my forever home?
I would prefer a home that has: no other animals, adults-only, lots of love!

Interview
If your application is approved, you will be contacted by our team for a pre-adoption interview.

Home Check
After your pre-adoption interview, you will join a video call with our team to complete a virtual home check.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Once your interview, home check, and reference checks are complete, you will pick up your new companion to begin an adoption trial.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If, after an adoption trial, you decide that your new companion is your perfect match, you will then sign the adoption contract.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
