Snoopy is a discarded beagle that wouldn’t hunt and was made to live all his days outside in a pen. Now Snoopy needs a patient and gentle hand to show him how to be a loved family pet.
He is approx 2yrs old, 31lbs, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
When Snoopy arrived at Homes Fur Hounds a week ago he was absolutely shut down. Shut down dogs do not eat, drink, potty, walk, won’t look at you nor sit comfortably.
He was a standing rigid statue. This went on for 3 days and it was absolutely heartbreaking to witness.
At the end of day 3 Snoopy finally ate a small amount of food and had a potty session. Day 4 he was able to walk a few steps on leash and petrified of everything, even just the wind blowing a leaf across the driveway or a twig snapping under foot.
Day 5 he wagged! It was brief but it was a wag!
Day 6 he has fallen asleep in foster mom’s lap and has more tail wags.
This little guy has a long way to go and needs that special someone to teach him about the softer side of life.
