My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizzo is a super soft grey cloud of a kitty. She has opened up exponentially since being in foster care! She loves to be pet on the head and nose with a loud loving purr to go along with it. She gets startled from time to time but we know she will be a future cuddle queen once she builds more trust.

She currently has and gets along with two kitty foster brothers. She is most comfortable around the older more calm one and we’ve caught them playing and chasing each other around. She does enjoy their company but leaves a little bit of space between them.

When it comes to playtime, she LOVES to chase a plastic spring around the house or hunt a small catnip toy. She is using her voice more and could end up chatty!

The perfect home for Lizzo, is one full of love and patience to allow her to continue to open up into the Queen that she is. She is probably best in a home without small children.

All our cats and kittens are in foster homes so only serious adopters are able to meet them.

The adoption fee is $200 for one cat, $350 for a pair. Then your feline goes home with you.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption policy is young kittens must be adopted in pairs unless there is already a cat or dog in the home. Also please be aware some of our cats and kittens are bonded and must be adopted together.

Puppy Kitty NYC was founded in the Fall of 2014. As of July 2018, we are an official 501(c)(3) organization. We focus on three aspects: First, finding homes for abandoned or friendly street cats and kittens. Secondly, attempting to control animal overpopulation by spaying and neutering feral cats and helping the sick and injured. Thirdly, fostering is a must.
