My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coming soon in Chester NY! - Goober is a 2 year old catahoula mix. Our top guesses have been border collie or cattle dog but whatever he’s mixed with was the perfect combination to make this adorable pup!

Goober is a SWEET, funny and kind dog. Goober gets along great with other dogs and while he can be shy when meeting new people he quickly warms up and wants all the belly rubs he can get! Goober has been living on a farm and does well around livestock including chickens that are in an enclosure. He has not been around cats or other small animals.

Goober is crate trained, loves car rides, doesn’t mind going to new places and walks well on a leash. He is still working on potty training but is doing very well. He could use a bit more obedience and recall training but he is very polite and tries his best to please. Goober will play all day long outside but is very calm in the house and will often just find a good spot to chew a bone or nap in.

Goober would be an excellent addition to a home that has other friendly dogs since he loves playing and cuddling with his friends. He enjoys following everyone around the house and staying close to his people too. Goober is definitely the type of dog that would enjoy going for hikes and doing other outdoor activities. He has already proven himself to be a great farm dog! While he has not been around small children he has all the right characteristics of being a fantastic family dog.

If Goober sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application:
