Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I've Found My Home!
Lucy will be at our adoption event BOOfest this weekend saturday october 19th at the Olive Branch Senior Center 8800 College Street (next to the car tag office) in Olive Branch 9-2.
Lucy has blossomed since she's been in her foster home. She went through heartworm treatment like a champ and is now heartworm free. She continues on heartworm prevention to keep her heartworm free.
Lucy is now spayed, microchipped, about 56 pounds, approximately 3 years old, current on all vaccines and preventatives.
She has been very timid around other dogs....don't think she was treated too well in the past by humans or other dogs. It was obvious that she's had a few litters. She was a stray in Marshall County, Ms that wondered up to a truck drivers home and needed help. She was a rack of skin and bones.
She is socializing with other dogs in her foster home but it takes a slow introduction so she feels safe.
She's been going to our adoption events and loves to get belly rubs from anyone she comes in contact with. She has been stand offish towards other dogs but coming around with a few of her foster furiends. She is learning that she is safe and slowly being introduced to some of the other foster dogs. No signs of aggression just fear that other dogs will hurt her. She is gaining more confidence daily.
If interested in giving her a home, please send us an email and we will send you an application to fill out.

Her adoption fee is $150.
Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home.
Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, microchip, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verification.
When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract
