Meet Cinna, a precious boy that has a zest for life, He's a happy goofy boy whose tail is guaranteed to always wag every time he sees you. He bonds deeply with his humans, and once he trusts you you'll have a best friend for life.
Cinna's story is heartwarming. One cold night in rural Mississippi, a young couple out for a drive heard what they thought was a fox. To their surprise, they found Cinna scared and alone. He eagerly ran to them, relieved to be found and rescued. The couple brought him to one of our southern fosters, where he quickly settled in and began to thrive.
He is a southern gentleman who is most at peace when with his people. He's equal parts active and couch lounger, happy to go on a hike followed up by a snuggle with his humans.
Cinna is a great happy dog but he does run a bit on the anxious side, we're working a lot on training and building confidence and he's been making a lot of progress!!
Cinna is great with people of all sizes, and is gentle when playing with kids. He is fully housetrained and great in the car. He's food motivated and continues to make progress in learning basic commands. Cinna is happy to spend time in his crate with his toys or for treats, but does need continued work once the crate door is closed.
This boy loves to play-with his humans, with other dogs. His enthusiasm for playing with other dogs when he first meets them or sees them (especially on a leash) can make him very excited so a slow introduction is helpful. Though once he knows a dog, Cinna is very good at understanding social cues and boundaries.
Open your heart and home to this lovable little guy. Cinna is ready to bring endless joy and companionship to his forever family!

More about this rescue
PAWS is comprised of a small group of volunteers from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.
Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures.
