My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pretty Woman, Walking Down the Street!

Check out Vivian! At almost 2 years old, this petite gal is ready to turn heads and steal hearts – just like her namesake from Pretty Woman. Vivian is a unique beauty with a brindlequin coat – a stunning mix of creamy white and swirly brown spots that make her a true work of art. But there's more to Vivian than meets the eye. Although she has quite a bit of coloring, she is considered a Double Merle and is DEAF, but she still lives life to the fullest!

Vivian is a super sweet girl who loves attention and enjoys her cuddle time, but she’s got enough energy to keep you on your toes and enough charm to win anyone over. She’s an expert social butterfly, getting along fabulously with dogs of all sizes and even cats! While she loves to play and go on big adventures, she's also happy curled up by your side, giving you her loyal, heart-melting gaze.

She’s a very smart girl who is house trained and crate trained, although she gets a little sassy when it comes to getting in there! And let’s talk about her bed situation… Vivian, in true "extra" style, has been known to make her beds explode. We’re talking torn blankets, shredded beds and a sprinkle of stuffing confetti. She just can’t resist adding her own artistic touch! So if you have an ironclad Dane-proof bed, she’d love to give it a shot (but no guarantees, of course).

Vivian’s dream adopter would be an experienced Great Dane parent, someone who has a heart for deafies and understands the little quirks that come with it and can give her some personalized guidance. This means someone patient, understanding and ready to communicate with a lot of love and a few creative hand signals.

If you're ready for some sparkle in your life and a big-hearted girl who’s just waiting to be swept off her paws, Vivian is waiting for her “knight” in shining arm to come and take her away!

Please spread the word to help Vivan find her forever family! Share this post, tag your friends, and let's make sure she finds a family that will give her a wonderful home and all the love she deserves.

White Kisses requires all dogs to be in training within thirty days of adoption. Training is crucial for dogs to learn lifelong skills and to understand their place in the family pack. It is also essential part of getting to know each other and to help your pup become a well-mannered adult GREAT Dane!

Additional adoption info

Before adopting a dog, please remember that this is a life-time commitment.

Ask yourself, do you have the financial means to provide the essential care?

If you rent, you must have landlord's consent.

Are all the animals in your home spayed/neutered? We are pro-spay/neuter and can't adopt or allow you to foster if you have unfixed animals in your home. Your pets must also be current on vaccinations, heart-worm prevention and vet care.

All available dogs are fixed, regardless of age, before they leave our care. We do NOT and will NOT offer spay/neuter contacts.

Please return our phone calls; if you don't, we won't finish processing your application.

White Kisses Great Dane Rescue does evaluate temperament as well as health assessments, but we can make no guarantee's on a dog's health and needs later in life.

Note: Fosters go through an application & home check process as well.

To assist White Kisses GDR in continuing rescue work, Adopter's make a non-refundable donation. This donation is immediately used to pay ongoing costs of rescuing more great danes, including food, veterinary care, kennels, behavior training, etc.
Puppies (under 1 year) - $450.00
Adult Danes (1yo-5yo) - $375.00
Seniors (6yo & up)- $175.00
Mixes- Adoption Donation varies

All dogs in our care are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, dewormed, HW tested and started on HW prevention. They are fully vaccinated, have seen a vet for any veterinary care required and are micro-chipped.

Upon adopting a Great Dane from White Kisses, please give them time to adjust to their new family and environment.

Most Danes will be required to be in training within 30 days of adoption.

More about this rescue

White Kisses Great Dane Rescue is committed to the rescue, rehab and rehoming of Great Danes in Texas and surrounding states. While we do rescue all types of full-blooded Great Danes as well as some Mastiffs and Dane/Mastiff mixes, our passion and #1 priority are the deaf, blind and special needs Great Danes.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 Great Dane rescue operating solely on donations and the work of volunteers. Every donation helps us provide medical attention, housing, food and all other needs of the Great Danes in our care.

We primarily serve Texas and the surrounding states, with adoptions throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our goal is to not only save these magnificent gentle giants from living poorly cared for lives, but also educating the public regarding Double Merles and the care of these special needs Great Danes. We strive to place each Great Dane in the home that best fits the Dane.

Saving our gentle giants, one kiss at a time.
