Petey is a young fixed male, estimated to be one year old or a bit younger. The vet believes he is a hound mix of some kind, but Heinz 57 is still probably the appropriate breed for him. He still acts like a puppy with tons of energy and a bit mouthy with his interactions. He calms down quickly when you sit him down and pet him calmly. So, he will need training and patience but has shown that he is quick to learn and calm down. He is also extremely loving and cute as can be. He is getting along well with our other dogs and plays intensely with them. He is not aggressive except over toys, so he would need plenty of time to acclimate to a home with other dogs - he would probably be fine with other dogs right away as long as toys are strictly controlled and feeding time is managed calmly with crating before serving. Petey was found with another dog called River, and they both show no aggression towards each other at all. Ideally, Petey and River should be adopted together because they have an obvious and strong bond. However, I'm sure Petey would be extremely happy to have a loving home, even as a single dog.
