Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marty came to us late one night after being attacked by a large dog. The owner gave him up. Marty was found to have old and new injuries from dog attacks and a stomach full of rocks. Marty had spinal injury and was unable to stand or potty. Through wonderful vets and foster mom Marty has made a miraculous recovery. Marty can walk, run, swim, jump, play, pee, and poop with control. Marty will always have a weaker back end than normal dogs and is on glucosamine. Other than that, he is happy, healthy, and very loving dog. Marty walks on leash and rides very well. He is house trained for the most part but may have an accident if not able to go out.
His special need is awareness of his weaker back legs, and his need to glucosamine. He is fine with his foster moms' small dogs but has had issues with larger ones. He is also food reactive with dogs. He has not been around cats. With Marty's fear of some dogs, we feel it's best for him to be the only dog in the home.
**Adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, vet visits, deworming, and shots. **

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit animal rescue group.
We started out as just a fund, at our local vet, to help pay for operations, etc. for animals in need. Now we rescue animals in need: injured, sick, old, or dying. We give them a second chance and the best life we can until a forever home can be found. We take animals most other rescues turn down because we believe all life is worth our efforts.
Our organization is all volunteer and foster based, because we do not have a shelter. We do not euthanize our animals to make room for more. We run totally on donations and are willing to take any type [money, food, toys, bedding, crates, etc.]. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 2371, Marion NC 28752.
