Batman is a sleek and shiny young black cat who was hanging out with his sister Lady Grey downtown St Augustine until we took him in. He is shy when he first meets you but becomes very sweet once he gets to know you. He is very bonded with his sister, Lady Grey, and we're hoping they can stay together. All Ayla's cats must be indoor only and declawing is not allowed. A home visit is required and there is a small adoption fee. We don't have a facility, so we screen applicants thoroughly before we set up a meet and greet. We conduct a vet check, reference check and a home check. We typical set up the meet at the adoptive home so the home check can be completed at the same time. If both parties agree the pup is a good fit we complete the adoption agreement and accept the adoption fee.

We are tackling the problem one animal at a time. Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue is a St. Augustine, Florida-based 501(c)(3) supporting adoption, spay and neuter, and responsible care of animals. Along with education, outreach, and adoption and fostering programs, Ayla’s Acres also maintains a 45-acre sanctuary where “unadoptable” animals may live out their lives with peace, love, and dignity.
