Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Ruby, I am a 6 years old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, tri-colors. I was rescued from the life of puppy mill in Missouri and traveled to Wisconsin to start a new life.
I will pick a favorite person in the house to cuddle with and follow around. I am a very laidback and chill sweet lady. Peanut butter is my favorite treat! I am very treat motivated. I am around 25 pounds. I get along great with my foster family’s dogs and kids… No cats please as I like to chase them.
I may have some sort of hearing loss/deafness. But that doesn’t affect my lifestyle. I am still working on my potty training. I can be left alone free roam of the house without destroying anything. So free roam home is preferred. Couch is my favorite place to crash and take a nap to snooze away. Fenced-in yard is required.
No crating home is required as I spent my entire 6 years of life in crate so I would like to have my freedom. (Kennel to transport is reasonable.) I am still working on how to walk on the leash and I am learning pretty well!
I am microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm tested, vet check, and comes with a CVI Health Certificate.
Disclosures: However, while I was in foster, I developed an open pyometra few days later after the transport and needed an emergency spay surgery to save my life. I was not a good candidate for the spay surgery due to an enlarged heart but I survived! I also do have a grade 2 heart murmur but I will not need to be on medication unless I start showing symptoms.
My Adoption Fee is $650.00
Fostered in Racine, WI

More about this rescue
Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue was born out of my love for small dogs and desire to help those in need, and in memory of the loss of a dear family member. Dealing frequently with small breed puppies and retired breeder moms, we strive to find homes that are aware of the commitment to raising a small breed dog and to the patience needed in socializing and housebreaking a retired breeder mom who has no idea what life in a home is all about. We are foster home based and are always looking for new foster homes to help us continue our love of rescuing dogs in need. We are happy to assist in owner surrender placements, especially those in need of surrendering their small dogs due to financial hardships, loss of a loved one, or dog owner entering assisted living facilities or nursing homes. We pride ourselves with a thorough search for that perfect home for a dog in need and follow up with phone calls to ensure things are going well. Tiny Paws will take back an adopted dog should the need arise within a reasonable notice and an available foster home has an open spot. Our goal is to someday own a building to house even more canine companions in need. We look forward to helping you find your family pet.
