Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hershey is a unique looking Schnauzer/Poodle mix ("Schnoodle") who's only about 1-1/2 years old and weighs 16 pounds. He was dumped at the shelter by his owner and poor Hershey went into a panic and was scared to death. Because he was scared/confused, he didn't show well when adopters visited the shelter, and after a while his time ran out. Fortunately, we found him before it was too late.
Although it took him a little time to trust again, Hershey is now very affectionate and playful with people he knows. He loves to cuddle with his foster mom and dad, and gets along great with their dogs. Hershey is still initially intimidated by strangers, and will bark at them at first, but once he is properly introduced and knows they are not a threat, he settles down. He just needs some more socialization. Hershey bonds quickly and is ready to be your new best friend.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Hershey, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form.
