My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Avery is a sweet, friendly little YorkiePoo/Maltese mix ("Morkie") who's between 4-5 years old and weighs 11 pounds. Poor Avery ended up at South LA shelter and came in with a horrible bacterial/yeast skin infection. He had hair missing, his skin was inflamed, and he smelled terrible! When the shelter put out a plea and showed his pic, my heart broke.

We picked him up and got him to a dermatologist and he was put on a regimen of meds and baths. One month later and he's a new dog!!! His hair is growing in quickly and no more meds! Through all of his adversity, Avery maintained a STELLAR personality and has been nothing but sweet and affectionate to everyone.

Avery loves to cuddle and is very well behaved. He's good on a leash and gets along great with other dogs. He's also good with kids and greets strangers with a wagging tail and welcoming eyes. Avery started off as a diamond-in-the-rough and now he shines brilliantly.
