Harlow
The best is yet to come! ~Harlow
Check out this darling little dachshund! Harlow is a 14 lb, 5 yr old (DOB 7/7/18) smooth chocolate dapple dachshund. She was recently released from the commercial breeding industry, where she had many litters of puppies and in return, she was given several C-sections, bad teeth and a hernia. The hernia was a blessing in disguise, as that was probably her ticket out of the breeding industry. No more puppies for Harlow! She has been spayed, had her hernia fixed and had a much needed dental where she lost 17 teeth. Harlow is now on the path to good health and happiness.
Harlow is a cheerful girl that loves to snuggle. She's a loving dog that wants to be with her person as much as possible. She does well with other dogs and enjoys snuggling with her dachshund foster siblings. Although Harlow hasn't been face to face with a cat, she watches the neighborhood cat through the window and seems to want to make friends with it. Harlow will need a small resident dog to help her settle into her new home.
Harlow is just starting to play with toys. She is a curious girl that loves to explore outside. She will need a securely fenced yard as she is not leash trained at this time. She's doing great with potty training as long as she is taken outside regularly. Harlow also sleeps quietly in her kennel at night.
Harlow is beginning to forget her past and is now focused on her future. Harlow's philosophy is "The best is yet to come!" If you want to give Harlow the best, apply to adopt her today!
The suggested adoption donation for Harlow is a minimum of $500 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
