Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maggie Mae is a 4 month old, 12 pound Blue Heeler mix. We expect that Maggie will grow to be about 20 pounds as an adult. The color of her coat plus her blue eyes are all Blue Heeler, but Maggie has something else in her breed profile. We just don't know what it is.
Maggie is a playful, loving pup. She plays hard and then settles down for a nap for a couple of hours. This is repeated several times each day. When something frightens Maggie, she will quickly put herself in between her foster mom's feet for safety. Maggie is constantly entertaining to watch, but she is a puppy--through and through.
She is cutting her adult teeth at this time, so Maggie loves to chew on nylabones or sturdy soft toys that she can sink her teeth into. She needs supervision while she is awake to make sure she plays with approved toys (and not her foster family's shoes). Maggie is crate trained and sleeps all through the night and sometimes she gets an hour or two in her crate during the daytime.
Maggie Mae has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is too young to test for heartworms, but she is taking her monthly heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $250.
If you are interested in adopting Maggie Mae, please write to us at PricelessPoochRescue@gmail.com and ask for an application to adopt. Maggie Mae lives in a foster home in Hayesville, North Carolina which is about 2 hours' drive from Asheville, Atlanta and Chattanooga. We often travel to meet adopters
