Meet the Pet
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***
Meet Greymalkin or Grey for short. Grey somehow found herself on the street alone when a kind lady started to take care of her. She slowly showed that she wanted to be friends and was enjoying the companionship of the lady. Unfortunately, it became clear that this young gal was pregnant, so she went to foster to have her kittens. We don't know what happened, but Grey lost her pregnancy and became more withdrawn. In another turn of events, she also tested positive for FeLV. She then came to the shelter to join the others positive for this disease. Not long after a little one named Tori (you can read her bio in her profile) came to the shelter and needed a mother figure. Greymalkin and Tori became very close and were always at the others side grooming and snuggling. We think the one needed the other as much as the other way around. Grey is a quite girl who is more timid than anything but if you go slow and easy she really still enjoys gentle pets and chin scratches. We would love for the two of them to find a home that is cat savvy and open to their unique situation. Grey is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. As always, our adoption fee for cats/kittens is free will to approved applicants.
