Meet Niko!

Niko is a 1-2 years old chihuahua mix. He is a small fellow and weighs in at 9lbs. Niko loves to snuggle and be your best buddy. He does great with all sizes of other dogs, but does prefer to be your number one. He loves to fetch, which is absolutely adorable. He is fostered with children and several other dogs and has been in foster care for a little while. He is mostly house-trained, but does lift his leg at first when switching to a new home. He stopped doing so after a week at his initial foster home. Niko was an owner surrender, because his folks did not have time for him. He switched to a new foster in the Huntingtown are this past week, to finalize his vetting. Niko was neutered on March 12th, and is healing well. He will be ready to go home soon.

We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, up-to-date and consistent core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing, and regular monthly heartworm prevention.

You MUST contact your vet to give them permission to speak to us for the vet check BEFORE we call them. We will not be able to call veterinarians multiple times and we would hate for an application to be turned down because no authorization is on file with the vet.
