My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This inseparable pair was surrendered to us when their family became homeless. Gunner and Rosie have been together for life and it shows! They get along like two peas in a pod! We usually can find them snuggled up in the same bed. Rosie is deaf and looks to Gunner whenever she needs it. They love to wrestle, eat treats and most importantly CUDDLE! The pair can be nervous when first meeting people but they warm up quickly, for this reason we recommend they go to a home with teens or older. Overall they get along with dogs with a very controlled introduction. They can be overly excited and reactive on the leash when meeting a new dog. It's important their future family keeps up with their leash and overall training and provides them with lots of exercise. Rosie and Gunner would do amazing with a strong and active caregiver.

Additional adoption info

Due to the high volume of applicants, we are only able to move forward with families that are ready to adopt now. If you aren’t ready to adopt now, please apply when you are ready to welcome a dog into your home. After your initial appointment, once the adoption has been approved, we will require the dog to be picked up within one week unless we determine otherwise.

Our hope is that all homes are a forever home, however we understand that circumstances can change, and that sometimes it just isn't the right fit. Whether you discover this three days after the adoption, or three years after the adoption, we will always welcome our dogs back with open arms. Their well-being is our top concern.

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, examined by a vet, dewormed, given flea and tick prevention, groomed

Our adoption fees:

Under 1 year old (11 months or less) - $950
1-7 years old - $800
8+ years old - $500
Sanctuary - $50
Palliative* - $50
Special Needs* - $50
Bonded pairs - 30% off the total price

*For Palliative and Special Needs dogs we will discuss on a case by case basis what Dog Tales will cover financially, if applicable
