Sophie is a sweet, affectionate shepherd that’s ready to find her perfect family! Her ideal home would have previous experience with working dogs and plenty of time for exercise and enrichment (it’s the smart ones that always find trouble when they get bored!). Sophie previously lived with other dogs but has preferred to keep to herself since arriving at the shelter. She currently isn’t suitable for off-leash parks but may do well in a controlled setting with a canine companion that respects her personal space. She may do well in a home with older, dog-savvy children but keep in mind she can be a little bit mouthy.
Sophie has been very stressed since her arrival but is making great strides every day. We are still getting to know her, and her new family will need to be patient as she adjusts to life in her new home. (PS she’s become a fantastic cuddler).
