Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at the Warren County Career Center from 11am - 3pm!
Meet Simon, a Boxer mix, approximately four years old and weighing in at around 56 pounds. Simon was discovered abandoned at a county shelter, where he was sadly malnourished and in dire need of care. Despite his rough start, Simon has shown remarkable resilience and has been steadily putting on much-needed weight over the past few weeks. His journey to recovery has been a testament to his strength and spirit.
Simon is the epitome of sweetness, with a heart as big as his muscles. He exudes love and affection towards everyone he meets, both humans and his furry friends alike. His playful nature shines through when he's surrounded by other dogs, making him a favorite among his doggie daycare buddies. Simon has won the hearts of the doggie day care staff with his gentle disposition and loving demeanor.
Simon is making excellent strides in his potty training and leash manners. He has shown a willingness to learn and is eager to please, making him a joy to work with. While he may still be mastering the basics, his enthusiasm for learning and his strong bond with his caregivers promise a bright future ahead. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, Simon is sure to become a well-mannered and obedient companion.
With his loving nature and eagerness to learn, Simon has all the makings of a wonderful family pet. He thrives on companionship and would flourish in a home where he receives plenty of love, attention, and opportunities for play. Simon's journey from a neglected stray to a cherished member of a loving family is a testament to the transformative power of kindness and compassion. As he continues to blossom, Simon is sure to bring endless joy and devotion to his forever home. Simon's adoption fee is $275.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
