Hello! My name is Pearl. I’ve had an interesting history which has caused me to not trust people, but this lady I’ve been living with for the last few weeks has shown me there’s a lot of people who are super friendly. I was outside for so long and so cold that now that she’s given me a pillow inside, I don’t want to be outside anymore. Although I really, really like my walks; so many new smells. Those big metal boxes that people keep moving around in are so noisy and it scares me. Every time we go for a walk, she keeps walking me close to these things she calls vehicles. None of them have hurt me so far so I guess they’re not that bad. She is super calm when we walk by so I trust her. She gave me this new dish which makes me work hard for my food. And she also makes me wait before I can eat it. She taught me this thing called sit and stay and every time I do it, she gives me food or takes me off the leash so that I can run free, so I guess it’s OK. This words "come here", I’m seeing how much I can get away with not listening to that one. My foster mama is stubborn with this one. My inner wolf has not been able to be as stubborn as she has for this one. I am getting a lot more comfortable around humans, but I’m still not sure. It’s still going to take time before I can really open up. Will you help me explore this new world?
