Meet Baby Girl, a lively girl who's absolutely brimming with sweet, friendly energy. This exuberant pup thrives on interaction and loves to play, her tail wagging non-stop whenever she's engaged in a game of fetch or tug-of-war. When she's done playing, though, she's always sure to settle in for a good snuggle session with her humans. Baby Girl is one smart cookie, and loves learning new tricks and behaviors. While in the shelter she's learned sit, down, and roll over, and she's sure to keep growing her repertoire in her new home. Baby Girl would love to find a home that will continue her training to keep her brain sharp and ready for action! If you love playtime, sunny walks, and learning new things with a canine friend, come see Baby Girl today!

You’ll meet an Adoption Counselor to go over applications and discuss the animal you’re considering. We work with you to ensure your family, home and new family member is a perfect fit.
2. We’ll review all the documents and permissions (support from other adults in home, landlord permission and home ownership verification).
3. If your adoption is approved, your new pet can go home with you the same day providing they have had their spay/neuter surgery. If they haven't had their surgery yet, we will let you know when their surgery is scheduled and you can usually pick them up the next day.

For 133 years, the Capital Area Humane Society has been sheltering homeless animals, fighting animal cruelty and neglect, and offering programs to address the needs of animals in our community. More than 92 percent of our funding is provided by donations and fees for services. We are not a government agency, and we do not receive general operating support from national organizations. The Capital Area Humane Society relies on the support of private donors and volunteers to make our work possible.
Since 1883 the Capital Area Humane Society has been dedicated to providing only the highest quality of care for everyone we serve, animals and people alike. We are a team of experts—skilled, caring and compassionate people dedicated to our mission of fighting animal cruelty, helping animals in need and advocating for their well-being.
Our Mission
To fight animal cruelty, help animals in need and advocate for their well-being.
Our Vision
All animals live free of suffering and all companion animals are valued members of loving and caring families.
