Poncho is a little guy with a big personality and a lot of spunk!

Poncho loves to play and even plays with dogs 3x his size. He loves toys that squeak and will try out all the toys looking for the one that squeaks the loudest!

Poncho loves a good chew session and his new family will need to invest in toys he can chew on and redirect him when he chews on things he shouldn't, like shoes!

Poncho loves treats and is eager to learn, so training should go pretty smooth. Poncho will require routine grooming every 6 weeks and brushings a few times a week.

Poncho would love a family with kids or another dog to play with. His adoption is $500. He is current on age appropriate vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Visit leiashope.org for next steps.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.

All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.

We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.

Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
