Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Victoria's name comes from the fact that she was found with two broken but healing legs and was taken to Austin Animal Center where she was thoroughly examined, her fractures checked and corrected, vaccinated, and spayed. They reached out to TGPR and it didn't take too long for us to scoop her right up.
Victoria was in the shelter for three weeks, a loud and scary place for any dog let alone a baby. That plus that her legs had somehow been broken (but are healing really well already) and she was way too young to be out on her own.
Victoria is learning that people and other dogs aren't as scary as she thought. She is working on receiving touch and giving affection. She will take some time to truly trust her new people and the home that adopts her will be OK with looking out for her needs and building trust and safety. She's pretty well potty trained and walking well on a leash. She will be introduced to the foster pack once her confidence is firmly in place. Victoria will do great in a patient home willing to continue her confidence building and giving her time to mature. Victoria is a beautiful pyr mix, mostly pyr with a few black spots sprinkled on her ears. She demonstrates many qualities of the Great Pyrenees: intelligence, sensitivity, observant, beauty, loyal, and much more. She is ready for a forever home that will love her and enjoy watching her grow up and blossom into all that she has to offer.
