My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a dark salt and pepper mini schnauzer. I lost my owners, so I need to find a new family to love. I am about 4 y.o.young, and house trained. I walk on a leash and we are still evaluating the rest of my tricks to tell you more later. I just got here and was vetted and ready to go to my new forever home. I weigh about 20 lbs, but I am short and small. I have a docked tail and uncropped ears. I am hypo allergenic. Foster Mom update: 7/11: Mitzy is a sweet girl who just likes to be near you and get attention. She gets along well with our cat and anyone who comes over. She likes treats and anything soft that she can curl up and lay on. She plays with toys and "attacks" them it is really cute!

Mitzy's adoption fee is $ and she has had a bordetella preventative shot...her fee also includes blood work with report.. Mitzy showed she had signs of MILD CUSHINGS, which is treatable with meds. She doesn't show any signs of having it except she has fat hips. Cushings will sometimes show itself as added weight in odd places. She doesn't look bad just hippy. She will need meds the rest of her life, daily, not too expensive. We are hoping someone will open up their heart to give this sweet schnauzer a forever home. She iprobably was dumped as a stray because someone didn't want to pay for her meds. But she isn't even acting sick, it is a non cancerous tumor on the adrenlin gland that just makes her gain weight in odd places. This makes her a special need girl, so if you have it in your heart to love her she is waiting for you.

she is being fostered in Cleveland, Oh area.

Mitzy_has been examined by our vet, had a 5/1 annual shot, a rabies shot and tag dewormed, heart worm tested and passed. Spayed or Neutered before adoption. Our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm monthly preventatives in season. We also do a dental if our vet deems it necessary which is included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee covers all vetting expenses and a small donation to cover the dogs food and care.

We send your new dog home with a copy of all vet paperwork, adoption papers, a small bag of the dog food they have been on and information on taking care of the dog. Also a health folder for your vet and notes from our foster mom on their schedule, habits and socialization skills.

We do adopt our rescue dogs to an adjourning states and some others within driving distance of the foster family. We DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS the adoptive parents must meet the dog at the foster mother’s home. This will give the adoptive family a chance to meet the dog before they adopt it. Our dogs are fostered in NE Ohio and surrounding areas. If you are interested in adopting please:click here for our online adoption application
