Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey! Look at me!
My name is Buddy. I'm a 7-1/2-year-old cocker spaniel. (My birthday is in August.) My previous owner didn't have any "papers" but said that I am all cocker. I weigh a perfect 33 pounds and have a coat that is like velvet. I'm here looking for a new forever home, along with a new buddy that will sit on the couch with me and let me lay my head in their lap while we listen to the morning news. But I have no political preference. LOL
I really need a fenced yard, as I enjoy running outside or even just laying in the sun. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/YejDLxomgYgoPsMV/?mibextid=oFDknk
If you mention the word "walk," I am on my way to the door, sometimes with a toy I've grabbed on the way. Taking walks is good for both the body and mind ya know. You wouldn't believe all the things a guy like me can smell.
When I see cats on my walk, I whine and chirp and I want to chase after them so I may not be great in a home with cats.
As for kids, when I see them while I am on a walk, I get super excited. Sometimes kids don't want to approach me because I am barking and excited but I will calm down eventually so they can pet me.
Also, in case you are wondering, I do well around other dogs at the vet and outside. I don't really mind them at all. Sometimes I bark at them but I am just saying hi.
I will warn you that I am not a fan of bikes! I bark at them like crazy! So, no bike rides with me, please.
I like toys, especially the soft ones. My favorite is "beaver." I unstuff him. Foster mom restuffs him and I unstuff again. It's a fun game we play. I sleep in my own bed but sleeping on the "big bed" might be pretty nice too.
My vaccinations are up-to-date and I am microchipped! I'm neutered and heart worm negative. I have good manners in that I don't gulp my food and I take treats gently. I know how to go potty outside. Please complete an application if you think we would be a good match.
** A fenced yard is mandatory for this fur baby. If you do not have a fenced yard, your application will be denied. No exceptions. **
SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, Heartworm testing and be able to provide proof of purchase of HW prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed and approved. Adoptions are not done on a first come first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.
