My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elvira is an adorable, black kitten who is a little love bug. She is one of 3 kittens found with her mom Mama Morticia. She is a bit shy and will need a little patience to come out of her shell. She likes pets and purrs once she gets to know you. Her gentle spirit and friendly nature make her the purfect addition to any family, ready to bring happiness and love to her furever home.

At Orphan Kitten Rescue, we prioritize the well-being and socialization of our kittens, exposing them to various environments, including households with dogs, other cats, toddlers, and even the ubiquitous vacuum. Once our kittens have received a minimum of two vaccines, they are introduced to the kitty playroom, fostering interactions with their fellow feline companions. Our commitment to providing you with a healthy, content, and well-adjusted kitten translates into a higher adoption fee, allowing us to offer comprehensive benefits and minimize the need for immediate veterinary attention. Currently, our adoption fee is available at a reduced rate of $150 for some of our cats, with the exception of orange cats ($275) and white & Maine Coon cats ($300). Each kitten comes fully equipped with all three FVRCP vaccines, thorough deworming, parasite, flea, and tick treatment, microchipping with a lifetime registration, and more. While most of our kittens are spayed/neutered before adoption, those too small undergo our "foster to adopt" program, enabling adopters to build a strong bond with their new fur baby. To participate in the foster-to-adopt program, adopters pay the total adoption fee, with the spaying/neutering appointment scheduled by our staff once the kitten reaches the appropriate weight. For those looking to secure a specific kitten, a non-refundable hold fee of $125 can be placed. This fee ensures the removal of the listing and reserves the kitten for 14 days, unless otherwise agreed upon. To initiate the adoption process or arrange a meet and greet, please fill out the interest card on the posting or complete the attached adoption application. Our rescue is located in Northern California, precisely in Manteca, and we regret to inform you that we do not transport kittens out of state. Should you have any inquiries, feel free to reach us at info@orphankittenrescue.org or by text at 510-299-2031 to schedule a visit. Your understanding and support are greatly appreciated.

Additional adoption info

Adoption Instructions:
To initiate the adoption process for a kitten of interest, kindly complete the attached application form. Subsequently, we will coordinate a meet-and-greet session. Once both parties agree that the chosen cat is a suitable match, we will proceed to finalize your application, facilitating the process for you to bring your new kitten home.

In the event that the selected kitten is too young for immediate adoption but you are committed to welcoming them into your home, we offer the option to secure their reservation. A non-refundable deposit of $175 can be made, resulting in the removal of the kitten from all online platforms within 48 hours. This reserved status ensures that the kitten is held exclusively for you.

For those interested in exploring alternative adoption arrangements, we encourage inquiries about our foster-to-adopt program. This program provides prospective adopters with a unique opportunity to experience the joys of fostering before making a permanent commitment.

We appreciate your interest in our adoption process and look forward to assisting you in welcoming a new furry companion into your home.
