Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT ***
Meet Panda! She is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is almost ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent.
Panda is the perfect mix of sassy and sweet. She loves her people with her whole heart. She would prefer to be an only dog, queen of the castle. Families with other dogs in the home will still be considered, just on a case to case basis. She does ok with some dogs, and not ok with others. She has some frustation when she is on a leash and will need life-long training/management to keep up on her skills.
She is kennel trained as well as house trained. Her herding insticts do run strong, and she chases cats too much to live with them.
Panda was in a foster home with children before, and we believe she would be ok with older ones. Due to her herding prey drive, she may try to herd them from time to time.
She will make you laugh with her wiggly butt and give you unconditional love. If you think you can give Panda the life she deserves, please apply. She will graduate towards the beginning of October.
A portion of Panda's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous Corgi lover.
