If you are looking for the perfect dog, your search is over. Atticus is a gentle giant. He is appx 6-8 years old, neutered, and the calmest gentleman ever. He is heartworm positive and rescue has started his treatment and will continue to cover after adoption.
Atticus is kid dog and even cat friendly! He loves nothing more than to chill with his foster mom.
He does play, he likes to "mouth" not bite at all, he just is the sweetest, easiest boy. Even when playing with a mentally handicapped dog in foster home, he is excellent with him.
He has excellent house manners, potty trained, doesn't chew and wants nothing more than to have belly rubs and butt scratches. Atticus loves to go on walks, watching the neighbors going on with their lives.
If you are looking for the absolutely perfect companion, look no further.

Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Since they are rescue dogs we guess breed of looks.
Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our adoption fee covers dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped as well as spay/neuter at our preapproved vets. All puppies not altered due to age will under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon completion of surgery.
We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable.
Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog.
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE HAVE NO BRICK AND MORTAR LOCATION-- WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE, ALL DOGS ARE IN PRIVATE FOSTER HOMES.
If we if we think your home might be a good fit, we will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application. We do check references, use social media, been verified, do phone interview/emails, and home check will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.

Ranger's Reach is a passionate group of people whose goal is to protect and take care of animals through education, advocacy, resources, rescue/adoption, and community outreach.
Raising awareness and being involved in our community to promote good pet ownership through spay/neuter programs to end the suffering and overpopulation of unwanted animals, and to help keep animals out of the shelter and in homes.
Building relationships with shelters, rescues and our community to assist with daily needs of food, vaccines, monthly preventatives, microchipping, and unforeseen expenses.
Developing a network of supporters, sponsors, volunteers, fosters, veterinarians, donors, and transporters who are dedicated to work together as one to save as many animals and end the tragic situation so many endure daily in our area.
Continually bringing homeless pets into the hearts and minds of people in such a powerful way that neglect, homelessness, and killing of companion animals becomes completely unacceptable.
