Meet Badger!

Badger is a gentle soul with a heart full of loyalty, looking for a forever home where he can truly thrive. His journey hasn’t been easy—he came from a couple who were living in their car and had to make the difficult decision to surrender him and two other dogs to a shelter. Sadly, Badger wasn’t adopted right away, so he’s now with us, patiently waiting for his second chance.

At first, Badger may seem a little reserved, but once he warms up to you, he’s as loyal as they come. Because he missed out on some socialization as a puppy, he would do best in a calm, quiet home with patient adults who can give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. Badger is food-motivated, which makes him eager to learn and bond with his person.

He gets along with smaller dogs and might do well with another low-energy canine companion. Badger is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $150. If you’re ready to give this sweet, deserving boy the loving home he’s been waiting for, Badger will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and love.

We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things. We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.

Tails of Rescue in Kahoots is a volunteer based, non profit, 501c3 organization that literally saves dogs and cats from shelters euthanasia list. We pull animals from our local shelters we to try to reduce the number of unwanted animals locally. Tails of Rescue in Kahoots is a shelterless rescue (foster based), but animals are in the store daily. We rely on the generosity of our volunteers and foster families to provide short- and long-term care and rehabilitation for our rescues until they can be placed with their forever families.

Our shelter operates solely on your generous donations and the proceeds from in Kahoots. Please consider helping our cause. 100% of your donation will provide food, supplies, and medical care. We don't have any paid employees, only amazing volunteers!
