Roux was surrendered to us when her family has had big changes in their life. We were able to get a lot of info on her. She came to us quite spoiled and seems to have ruled the roost. She's had no problem adjusting to a life where that's not the case anymore. She's a spunky little girl who loves to play fetch, inside or outside the home. She was an only dog for the first couple of years and would probably be happiest to be an only girl again. She is living with other small dogs amiably now though in foster care and does well. She just tells them off if they get in her bubble or bugs her when she doesn't want to be bugged. A confident owner(s) is what she needs and she responds well with someone really in charge. When not engaging in a good game of fetch, she's usually hanging out on a lap or laying next to her people on the furniture.
She has always been to the groomer every 6 weeks. She has thin, fine fur so it has to be kept up. Even so, she doesn't care for certain areas messed with so just needs a professional groomer who will work with her.
She has food allergies and as long as you read ingredient labels and don't give her anything with grains, chicken or lamb in it, she stays healthy. She will break out in hives if she gets those.
She really is a fun, adorable little side kick for the right new family!
Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.
